Bonneville 2013

Bonneville 2013.
Commissioned to build the chassis for team Rooster Booster .
We went over to support Steve, Karl and Nick riding their tuned Bantam 125's.
Combined with a 2500 mile road trip searching out the back roads of the Colorado plateau, we went looking for America - and found it.

The Malarkey chassis, 125cc Bantam racer.
The tuned engine, machined, built by Steve Roberts.
Steve rode to an average of 84mph, top speed 89mph and gained one of the three landspeed records acheived by the Bantams.
100 degrees F, air thinness, 7000 ft. riding on the salt - can give a relative reduction of upto 20%.
Still more tuning to be done on engine and exhausts. Pendine next year!

Again in collaboration with the Gysin brothers -
3 Brothers Performance the BSA A65 has now
been completed. To mark this all three bikes returned
to our workshop for a video shoot.

and a ride from Bishops Castle via the Mountain
Road to Aberystwyth. With music soundtrack by
Fuzz Townshend and Fight the Bear the bikes
will be documented riding hard throughout standing
       scenery.

Stafford Classic Bike Show

Concentrating on the October show for our stand. So this April went just as a
punter.
Met up with Bart, Jerry and John - customers.
Howard on his Disco Volante stall - always good to see him and his goods.
Two bikes in the show stood out for me. The Iron Head Sportster Flat tracker
and Ron of Warlord's incredible Triumph.

BSA Bantam 125cc Bonneville Racers

In the last few months we have been
involved in a project with team Rooster
Booster. Please view BsaBooster.

Have now completed the second of the
two chassis that are competing on the
salt flats this August.
The classes we are entering are:
Pre '56 125cc air cooled two stroke
gasoline modified.
Pre '56 125 air cooled two stroke
gasoline special.
The photos show the 'special'.
Exhausts are being fabricated and
bodywork to be painted shortly.
The guys are busy with the engine
works. SCTA rules require standard
crank cases, barrel, carburettor and
points ignition. Crank cases have been
welded and modified to take new
oilways and larger bearings. Barrel
porting position changed and
aluminium shroud made to cover.
Lightened crankshaft machined.
Cylinder head machined. Aftermarket
conrod pistons, points, carburettor.
Currently, world record stands in the
mid 60mphs. There are many variables
to contend with at Bonneville. Large
variations in temperature during the
day. Oxygen depletion, the equivalent
of anywhere between 4000-7000 ft. A
racing surface the equivalent of baked
icing sugar. Quite a challenge!

Gigs at Wulfrun, Wolverhampton

Industrial Metal tour,
Fear Factory,
Devin Townsend,

Fear Factory - spend 60 odd hours a week making Industrial Metal at Metal Malarkey but still go to watch the gigs. Fear Factory alot quieter and mellower than before and actually seemed to enjoy themselves.
Devin Townsend - first time to see the band. Camp, a bit of a send up but great musicianship and visuals. - checkout Youtube - Juular, Vampira, Trainfire.
Great value for money.
